Pensando no bem-estar e preservação das espécies arbóreas, a Prefeitura de João Pessoa, por meio da Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Urbano (Sedurb), vem adotando uma rotina especial de cuidados, principalmente em dias de calor excessivo. As equipes da Diretoria de Paisagismo (Dipai) estão realizando a rega em horário ampliado à noite para evitar danos à vegetação de praças, parques, canteiros e rotatórias.
De acordo com o secretário de Desenvolvimento Urbano da Capital, Fábio Carneiro, existe uma demanda muito grande devido ao número de espaços de convivência existentes na cidade. Ele explicou que as equipes se dividem em horários estratégicos nos três turnos e realiza a rega das plantas preferencialmente à noite por conta do forte calor registrado durante essa época do ano.
“Nossas equipes de paisagismo atuam nos três turnos, mas por conta do calor registrado nas últimas semanas estamos evitando fazer a rega nos horários de altas temperaturas para garantir o efeito desejado. Isso mostra o cuidado que essa gestão tem com a cidade como o todo”, destacou Fábio Carneiro.
O secretário também lembrou que além da rega feita através de caminhão-pipa, o setor de paisagismo também adota outros cuidados para resguardar essas espécies, com intervenções periódicas e programadas conforme demanda. “As equipes de paisagismo também têm o cuidado de realizar o roço da grama e a remoção das espécies invasoras como forma de garantir que a vegetação não morra, o que traria mais custos com a reposição”, arrematou.
