O ano de 2023 foi muito especial para crianças e adolescentes que vivem em abrigos de acolhimento institucional mantidos pela Prefeitura de São José dos Campos.
É que por meio do programa apadrinhamento afetivo, promovido pela Vara da Infância e Juventude em parceira com a Prefeitura, meninas e meninos de até 17 anos de idade tiveram a oportunidade de receber suporte afetivo que vai além do convívio criado dentro da instituição de longa permanência, permitindo que eles se sintam mais apoiados e fortalecidos para a construção de uma vida autônoma.
As atividades de convivência entre padrinhos e afilhados afetivos tiveram início em março deste ano. Ao todo, 24 padrinhos participaram do processo e tiveram suas vidas transformadas. Foi o que aconteceu com a Renata e o Rogério, que são casados há 25 anos.
Para eles, o programa foi uma oportunidade de realizar um projeto de vida. “Sempre foi um desejo que nossa família recebesse mais uma criança ou adolescente, para compor de forma amorosa e responsável essa experiência de convivência.”

Renata, que é psicóloga e madrinha de um adolescente, disse que o apadrinhamento trouxe diversos desafios que foram todos superados com amor. “Nosso afilhado nos trouxe esse novo mundo de forma carinhosa, responsável, e tranquila, nos permitindo viver esta experiência com coragem e alegria”, acrescentou.
Laços afetivos
Foram nove encontros formativos antes do processo de convivência, que aconteceu de forma gradual e com a mediação das equipes técnicas das unidades de acolhimento, Vara da Infância e Juventude e Prefeitura.
A convivência aconteceu por meio de visitas aos finais de semana, feriados e férias conforme disponibilidade de cada padrinho e afilhado.
Patrícia Pereira, que é psicóloga da unidade masculina de acolhimento para adolescentes, acompanha de perto a realização do programa e percebe o quanto os vínculos criados são positivos para o desenvolvimento das crianças e adolescentes. “Observamos que as trocas afetivas entre afilhados e padrinhos, consolidam referências e dão oportunidades de convivência em família, contribuindo com o desenvolvimento biopsicossocial, recebendo carinho, atenção e formando vínculos que são para a vida”, explica.
Apadrinhamento
O programa visa complementar o trabalho voltado ao desenvolvimento e ao cuidado afetivo de crianças e adolescentes de até 17 anos de idade, com perspectiva de longa permanência nos serviços de acolhimento institucional do município, ou seja, sem perspectiva de reintegração à família de origem ou colocação em família substituta (adoção).
O objetivo é que o padrinho ou madrinha auxilie a resgatar o convívio familiar e comunitário de crianças e adolescentes que estejam impossibilitados de ter esse convívio com suas famílias de origem. Dessa forma, eles têm a possibilidade de se relacionar e conviver em outro ambiente que o instigue a desenvolver suas habilidades emocionais e cognitivas.
