Durante a intervenção estadual na saúde pública de Cuiabá, a Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) CPA 4 tornou-se um exemplo da ineficiência do gabinete de intervenção do Estado. Mais do que isso, o local que deveria ser um centro de cuidados médicos agora serve de abrigo improvisado para moradores em situação de rua, evidenciando o total descaso e a falta de planejamento por parte das autoridades envolvidas na intervenção.
Ao invés de melhorias, o que se observa é o crescimento desordenado do mato ao redor, demonstrando a falta de cuidado e gestão apropriada. O período de intervenção terminou, mas a situação da UBS CPA 4 permanece inalterada.
O impacto direto dessa negligência reflete na sobrecarga da UBS CPA 3, para onde foram transferidos os serviços e a equipe da CPA 4. Cidadãos de dois bairros consideráveis agora buscam atendimento na UBS CPA 3, que se vê sobrecarregada e incapaz de atender eficientemente a demanda. A precariedade do sistema de saúde fica evidente, deixando a população desassistida e vulnerável.
A intervenção estadual na saúde de Cuiabá, ao invés de trazer melhorias, resultou em um cenário de abandono, descaso e insegurança para a população.
Desde o dia 1º de janeiro de 2024 a Prefeitura de Cuiabá passou a administrar novamente a gestão da Saúde Municipal.
