A Balança Comercial de Sorocaba apresentou, mais uma vez, dados positivos. De acordo com levantamento do Ministério do Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior (Mdic), em dezembro de 2023, houve aumento de 17,8% nas exportações da cidade, em relação ao mesmo período de 2022. Foram US$ 163.600.172 milhões, ante US$ 138.840.541 milhões, em dezembro de 2022. Já, o acumulado de janeiro a dezembro de 2023, é de US$ 2,128 bilhões, o que representa 2,8% de todo o estado de São Paulo.
Em dezembro, Sorocaba ficou à frente – em exportações – de outras cidades paulistas de porte semelhante ou maior, como Campinas (US$ 107,4 milhões), Jundiaí (US$ 67,5 milhões), São Caetano do Sul (US$ 46,9 milhões), Santo André (US$ 33,4 milhões), Barueri (US$ 23,4 milhões), Bauru (US$ 18,2 milhões), Osasco (US$ 9,7milhões) e São José do Rio Preto (US$ 3,2 milhões).
“Sorocaba segue uma crescente na economia, que permanece aquecida ao longo dos últimos três anos. Mão de obra qualificada, tecnologia de ponta e a confiança de grandes empresas na cidade são algumas das características que contribuem para manter a produção fabril local aquecida, dando condições para manter nossa exportação sempre em alta”, ressalta o prefeito Rodrigo Manga.
Dentre os produtos mais exportados por Sorocaba em 2023, estão os automóveis de passageiros (47%); partes e acessórios de automóveis (7,9%), além de equipamentos da linha de tratores e escavadeiras, como bulldozers, angledozers, niveladoras e raspo-transportadoras, entre outros (7,4%). Os principais destinos das exportações foram: Argentina (37%), Colômbia (8,3%) e Estados Unidos (7,1%).
O secretário interino de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Turismo (Sedetur), Fernando Marques, destacou o trabalho técnico do Poder Público em prol da atuação da indústria e dos demais segmentos de mercado no município. “Na Sedetur, contamos com uma equipe técnica estratégica para programas de incentivos fiscais e de desburocratização para os empresários que desejam migrar suas unidades fabris ou ampliar seus negócios em Sorocaba. A partir disso, a cidade oferece uma gama cada vez maior de produtos de qualidade, refletindo na ampliação das vendas e, naturalmente, de forma muito positiva, nas exportações”, conclui.
