A Prefeitura de São José dos Campos está executando uma obra de infraestrutura nas ruas José Maria Vilaça e Afrânio de Paiva Delgado, no Alto da Ponte.
Para isso, está sendo ampliada a rede de drenagem com a implantação de tubos circulares de concreto. Também está sendo executada a substituição de 23 bocas coletoras para garantir maior vazão e escoamento até o Rio Buquira.
O sistema de drenagem é o principal meio de escoamento de água da chuva. O objetivo da obra é evitar erosão, alagamento e enxurrada.
