A Copasa anunciou que vai investir mais de R$ 6,7 milhões em obras que vão otimizar o sistema de abastecimento de água do município de Ubá, na Zona da Mata.
Essas obras vão contemplar a substituição e/ou reforço de adutoras e redes de distribuição de água; implantação de novas ligações prediais e a setorização de Distritos de Macromedição e Controle (DMC) – instrumento utilizado para análise e controle de sistemas de distribuição e, internacionalmente reconhecido, como uma das melhores alternativas para a redução de perdas de água.
A Ordem de Serviço Inicial já foi emitida e a previsão é que os trabalhos se iniciem ainda no primeiro trimestre de 2024 e sejam concluídos em até 12 meses.
O anúncio desses investimentos à prefeitura foi feito pelo gerente da Regional Ubá da Copasa, Marlos Portugal, durante reunião realizada na sede da companhia no município em 25/1.
Melhorias no abastecimento
O gerente da Copasa explicou que as obras têm como objetivo atuar no combate às perdas de água, garantindo maior regularidade no abastecimento e diminuindo os transtornos para a população em casos de interrupções emergenciais e programadas.
“O sistema de abastecimento de água em Ubá ainda consta de algumas redes muito antigas, com diâmetros não comerciais, e em algumas regiões com pressão elevada, o que causa rompimentos frequentes além de uma série de problemas operacionais e paralisações prolongadas no abastecimento. Com essas obras, vamos corrigir esses problemas e otimizar ainda mais o nosso processo de produção e distribuição da água”, destacou.
Vale destacar que essas intervenções serão realizadas em pontos estratégicos na área de abrangência da Estação de Tratamento de Água (ETA) Peixoto Filho – unidade responsável pelo abastecimento de mais de 60% da cidade -, mas beneficiarão diretamente aos mais de 100 mil habitantes.
“Sabemos que as obras poderão causar alguns incômodos à população, dados os locais onde elas serão realizadas e à sua complexidade, mas é muito importante que as pessoas entendam que os benefícios serão muito maiores e duradouros. Inclusive, estamos cuidando, junto à empresa que realizará os serviços, que essas obras sejam rápidas e causem os menores impactos possíveis na rotina das pessoas”, acrescentou Marlos.
