De acordo com o secretário de Turismo, Daniel Rodrigues, João Pessoa tem se revelado um destino novo a partir de uma série de ações que vêm sendo realizadas pela Prefeitura em parceria com o Governo do Estado e o trade turístico. “Estamos desenvolvendo projetos para apresentar, tornar a cidade ainda mais atrativa para os turistas, com ações nas áreas de infraestrutura, segurança e mobilidade”, destacou.
Sobre o aumento da procura pelo destino, Daniel Rodrigues enfatizou que a programação cultural oferecida à população, por meio da Fundação Cultural de João Pessoa (Funjope), ainda durante dezembro de 2023, foi assertiva, com destaque para o projeto Festival Forró Verão, complementado com o Folia de Rua e o Via Folia e arrebatando com o Carnaval Tradição.
Já a partir desta semana, o secretário disse que dará continuidade aos preparativos das próximas ações da prefeitura, como a participação nas principais feiras de turismo, capacitação de agentes de viagens e operadores de turismo, além de começar a elaborar o projeto do São João, um dos apelos culturais de forte atração de turistas no período entre junho e julho.
