A Prefeitura de Campo Grande, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (Sesau), ampliou os locais para vacinação contra a dengue em crianças de 10 a 11 anos. Nesta quinta-feira, dia 15 de fevereiro, o imunizante já está disponível em mais de 40 unidades básicas e de saúde da família espalhadas pelas sete regiões urbanas do município.
“Com isso pretendemos facilitar ainda mais o acesso à vacina, sobretudo aos finais de semana, e imunizar o maior número de crianças o mais rápido possível”, diz. A secretária reitera a importância da população continuar fazendo a sua parte para evitar o aumento na proliferação do mosquito e, consequentemente, o número de casos da doença.
A primeira remessa de vacinas chegou no município no último sábado, dia 10 de fevereiro. Foram 24.639 doses, que devem ser destinadas exclusivamente a crianças de 10 e 11 anos, conforme orientação do Ministério da Saúde. A expectativa é vacinar ao menos 90% do público previsto nesta primeira etapa, estimado em 28 mil crianças nesta faixa-etária.
A vacinação deve avançar para outras idades assim que forem sendo entregues novas doses pelo fabricante da Qdenga, até alcançar todo o público-alvo de 10 a 14 anos.
