Minas Gerais agora conta com mais uma Casa de Semiliberdade para acautelamento de jovens em conflito com a lei. Nesta terça-feira (20/2), a Secretaria de Estado de Justiça e Segurança Pública (Sejusp), por meio da Subsecretaria de Atendimento Socioeducativo (Suase), inaugurou uma unidade em Contagem, na Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte, com capacidade para atender até 20 adolescentes.
Durante a cerimônia de inauguração, o secretário de Estado de Justiça e Segurança Pública, Rogério Greco, ressaltou a importância do novo espaço. “É um misto de sentimentos, o ideal seria não termos adolescentes infratores e estamos trabalhando para isso. Porém, este é um espaço muito importante e estou muito feliz por inaugurá-lo”, disse.
A semiliberdade é uma medida socioeducativa executada na modalidade casa-albergue. Nesta medida, o adolescente é acompanhado e orientado por uma equipe multidisciplinar, vai à escola, faz cursos profissionalizantes e mantém a convivência familiar e comunitária.
Na nova unidade de Contagem, cursos de culinária, artes e esportes também farão parte da grade de atividades.
Estrutura
A casa onde funcionará a unidade é alugada, e o Estado investiu cerca de R$ 230 mil nas adaptações necessárias. Os recursos vieram dos esforços de um Termo de Ajustamento de Conduta (TAC) celebrado com o Ministério Público de Minas Gerais (MPMG).
O espaço é amplo, composto por áreas comuns, quartos, banheiros, cozinhas, laboratório de informática e salas de coordenação.
A Casa de Semiliberdade Contagem é a primeira da região e, por isso, traz benefícios para a população local ao assegurar o direito do jovem cumprir a medida o mais próximo possível de seus responsáveis, como preconiza o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA).
O diretor da unidade, Valdiney Teixeira Silva, contou que a comunidade está muito receptiva. “Nossos vizinhos entenderam o trabalho que precisamos fazer. Contamos com a comunidade para construir soluções, dialogar e fazer com que essa casa seja uma referência em medidas socioeducativas. O desafio está dado e vamos trabalhar para alcançar as metas”, concluiu.
A subsecretária de Atendimento Socioeducativo da Sejusp, Gisele Cyrillo, também comemorou. “É um marco importante que reforça o compromisso dessa administração de fazer frente aos desafios históricos do sistema. Muito mais do que prover vagas, vamos fazer com qualidade e entendendo a medida como oportunidade preventiva na trajetória infracionária, e proteger toda a comunidade”, afirmou.
Atualmente, em Minas Gerais, estão em funcionamento 15 Casas de Semiliberdade. A execução da medida de semiliberdade em Minas é feita em parceria com o Polo de Evolução de Medidas Socioeducativas (Pemse), organização social executora e selecionada por processo de seleção pública.
