O Hospital Maternidade Herculano Pinheiro, em Madureira, promove nesta quinta-feira (14/3), das 10h às 15h, campanha de doação de sangue. Essa é uma parceria entre a unidade, o Mercadão de Madureira e o Hemorio, responsável por fornecer hemoderivados para mais de 200 hospitais da rede pública do Rio de Janeiro, principalmente para emergências. A ação será realizada no auditório do Mercadão de Madureira. O local foi escolhido devido ao grande fluxo de pessoas que passam por lá diariamente, o que colabora para um maior número de doadores participarem.
Doar sangue é seguro e salva vidas. Depois da coleta, os componentes sanguíneos são separados e quatro pessoas podem ser beneficiadas. Em 24 horas após a doação, o organismo do doador começa a recompor algumas substâncias que foram retiradas, de forma que a coleta seguinte pode ser feita após oito semanas para homens e 12 para mulheres, pois o sangue já estará com os componentes reconstituídos.
Para ser um doador de sangue é necessário apresentar documento oficial de identidade com foto; ter entre 16 e 69 anos (menores de 18 devem estar com autorização do responsável); estar bem de saúde; e pesar mais de 50 kg.
