A população pode participar, nesta sexta-feira (22), das 13h às 16h, da atividade de troca de livros na Biblioteca Municipal “Jorge Guilherme Senger”. Os participantes poderão trocar obras de literatura nacional, estrangeira, infantil ou infantojuvenil, desde que estejam em bom estado de conservação.
Realizada pela Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Cultura (Secult), o objetivo da iniciativa, que ocorre sempre na última sexta-feira de cada mês, é incentivar o hábito da leitura entre os moradores de todas as idades e promover o intercâmbio de livros, para que mais leitores tenham acesso às publicações.
Não são aceitos materiais didáticos, político-partidários, religiosos, dicionários, lista de endereços e telefones, teses, dissertações, enciclopédias, livros carimbados ou etiquetados (indicando pertencer à outra instituição) e produtos rasgados ou danificados.
A atividade é gratuita e aberta a todos. A Biblioteca Municipal está localizada na Rua Ministro Coqueijo Costa, 180, no Alto da Boa Vista, e funciona de segunda a sexta-feira, das 9h às 17h. Mais informações podem ser obtidas pelo telefone: (15) 3228-1955.
