Emlur coleta 74,3 mil toneladas de resíduos sólidos domiciliares no primeiro trimestre

A Autarquia Especial Municipal de Limpeza Urbana (Emlur) coletou 74,3 mil toneladas de resíduos sólidos domiciliares, no primeiro trimestre do ano. Ao considerar os dados mensais, janeiro registrou a maior quantidade de recolhimento, com 25,7 toneladas, seguido por março (24,5 toneladas) e fevereiro (24,1 toneladas).

Conforme o superintendente da Emlur, Ricardo Veloso, no mês de janeiro, a cidade contou com um grande número de turistas, o que aumentou a produção de resíduos sólidos. “Tivemos o Réveillon na orla da cidade, bem como eventos públicos nos finais de semana, o que concorre para mais geração de resíduos. Por conta disso, realizamos durante o verão, pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, o Programa Amigos da Praia, orientando sobre o correto descarte de resíduos”, explicou.

Ricardo Veloso destacou que, apesar da maior geração de resíduos em janeiro, o trabalho dos agentes de limpeza urbana foi reconhecido pelos turistas. Pesquisa Anual do Desempenho do Turismo na Região Metropolitana de João Pessoa, realizada pela Federação do Comércio dos Bens e Serviços da Paraíba (Fecomércio-PB), apontou crescimento na avaliação “ótima ou boa” dos turistas sobre a limpeza pública da Capital, com índice de 85,32%.

A coleta domiciliar, um serviço essencial à população, também é bem avaliada pelos moradores da cidade. Residente no Cristo Redentor, o jardineiro Ivanildo de Oliveira, comentou que a coleta é realizada rigorosamente às segundas, quartas e sextas-feiras, no bairro. Para ele, a prestação do serviço é adequada, mas Ivanildo também dá sua contribuição. “Eu oriento os vizinhos a colocarem o lixo na rua apenas no dia de coleta, para evitar que cachorros e gatos de rua rasguem os sacos, causando sujeira”, contou.

O serviço de coleta domiciliar é realizado em dias alternados na maioria dos bairros, e diário nas localidades com maior produção de resíduos, como o Centro e bairros da orla da Capital. O recolhimento é feito em todos os turnos.

A população pode solicitar os serviços da Emlur pelos telefones 3213 4237 e 3213 4238 e pelo aplicativo João Pessoa na Palma da Mão. Outra opção é pelo site da Prefeitura de João Pessoa, na plataforma Prefeitura Conectada. O calendário de coleta domiciliar está disponível no site institucional.
