A Escola de Gestão Pública “Dr. José Caetano Grasiozi” encerrou, nesta segunda-feira (18), o curso de “Libras na Prática”, ministrado pela servidora Juliana Ferrari de Carvalho Brienze, que é graduada em Libras e intérprete nos eventos oficiais da Prefeitura de Sorocaba.
A capacitação contou com a participação de 20 servidores públicos, de várias Secretarias, e tem como objetivo aprimorar o conhecimento da língua por meio de lições práticas.
Os alunos foram selecionados entre os servidores que, recentemente, se inscreveram e concluíram o curso de Libras EAD pela Escola Nacional de Administração Pública (ENAP), divulgado pela EGP neste ano.
No curso, com carga horária total de 15h, os servidores puderam praticar a linguagem de sinais desde o alfabeto até a conversação.
A EGP pretende formar novas turmas para o ano de 2024, com o propósito de ampliar o alcance dos servidores municipais a esse conhecimento.

Origem da Libras
A Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras) existe desde 1857, quando os gestos usados pelos surdos para se comunicar foram reunidos à língua francesa de sinais. Porém, em 1880, em um congresso sobre surdez, em Milão, na Itália, foi proibida a utilização da língua de sinais em todo o mundo, ao se considerar a leitura labial como a maneira mais eficiente de educar uma pessoa com deficiência auditiva.
Somente em 2002 o Governo Federal reconheceu a Libras como uma das línguas oficiais do Brasil, passando a dar mais visibilidade para a comunidade que a utiliza.
