A iniciativa, baseada na tecnologia, visa acelerar a cicatrização de fissuras mamilares, reduzindo a dor e promovendo uma amamentação efetiva. O atendimento acontece no posto de coleta do Banco de Leite Humano, dentro do ICV, de segunda a sexta-feira pela manhã.
O projeto é colocado em prática por uma equipe multidisciplinar especializada, liderada pelas médicas Juliana Soares e Patrícia Guimarães e pela enfermeira Roberta Barros. “O processo é invasivo, indolor e sem efeitos colaterais, oferecendo alívio da dor às mães, favorecendo a prática da amamentação exclusiva e em livre demanda”, explicou a diretora técnica do ICV, Juliana Soares.
A paciente Thayse Mayara, que fez as sessões, afirmou que o processo de cicatrização é acelerado. Isso acontece porque o laser estimula a produção de novas células, além de proporcionar a redução das dores na mama. “Eu passei pela experiência de fazer três aplicações e graças a Deus consegui voltar a amamentar exclusivamente. Devido à mastite, tive que dar fórmula, o que pra o bebê não é indicado, e deixa o psicólogo da mãe também prejudicado, pois você se sente culpada de não conseguir amamentar. Agradeço ao Instituto Cândida Vargas que me proporcionou essa oportunidade, pois não teria como fazer particular devido aos altos custos”, contou.
Destinado às mães do alojamento conjunto do ICV e aquelas cujos bebês são acompanhados no ambulatório, o projeto exige uma avaliação prévia por profissionais do ICV. As mães são orientadas sobre o manejo correto da amamentação antes de receberem o tratamento de laserterapia.
Segundo a diretora técnica, uma característica notável do projeto é seu papel na captação de novas doadoras para o Banco de Leite Humano. “As mães atendidas expressam interesse em retribuir, fortalecendo a rede de doadoras e ampliando os recursos disponíveis para outras mães e bebês que necessitam de apoio”, destacou Juliana Soares.
Com resultados positivos, o projeto destaca-se como uma iniciativa promissora no campo da assistência à amamentação. A expectativa é que mais mulheres se beneficiem desse serviço inovador, consolidando o compromisso do ICV em promover a saúde materno-infantil.
